BREAKING: Epping’s Bell Hotel can house asylum seekers, rules judge

1. Epping’s Bell Hotel XX house asylum seekers, a judge has ruled.

   The ruling follows [anti-immigration protests and counter-demonstrations](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/08/28/bell-hotel-protesters-swarm-epping-migrant/) by thousands of people outside the The Bell hotel in Epping since July.

   The latest data for June shows there are more than 32,000 migrants housed in 200 hotels at a cost of £5.5 million a day.

   The protests were mounted after Ethiopian asylum seeker Hadush Kebatu, 41, was charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old-girl and a woman in Epping. 

   He was sentenced to a year in prison for his crimes but [accidentally released from jail](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/10/26/epping-migrant-sexual-offender-prison-rearrest/) two weeks ago sparking a major manhunt. [He was deported to Ethiopia](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/10/29/migrant-sex-offender-paid-to-be-deported/) after being caught by police in Finsbury Park in London two days after his release.

4. Every judge and politician in favour of this needs to physically visit these hotels and spend a night there while it is under Asylum seeker occupation. They need to see first hand what they’re allowing.

6. We are heading for riots like we haven’t seen since thatcher if this keeps up. Especially if you add taxes potentially going up for which portion will cover these costs when it should be going elsewhere.

11. Good. im pleased. Hotels are not ideal but far far cheaper than old Barracks

12. Easy for the judge to say when he lives in a cushy neighborhood away from all this.

13. It’s become an industry. Plenty of people get paid well in office jobs to partake in this. Asylum solicitors, human right advocates, buroucrats, interpreteters etc. The housing owners make out well too, more money for the elites.

    Happens on the backs of honest working English…

    …and they ask you to still vote for Labour and the Tories. If people in the UK still do after this, they van blame themselves.
