I was curious, but there were protests outside of 21 stores, and the company have just under 500.
So protests outside of less than 5% is now a nationwide eruption of protests?
Right after chicken farmers say they want to raise prices.
I’m sure there’s no correlation between the two and the funding behind these protests
When the store sees a dozen people protesting outside and a couple hundred shopping inside then where is the motivation for them to change anything.
hardly an eruption now is it….
Why would they care about chicken if they don’t even care about people in the first place?
>intensively farmed Frankenchickens – birds genetically engineered to grow 400% faster than natural.
Not sure if thick as mince or intentional misinformation.
Maybe both.
This causes fucking protests? Not the cost of living crisis?
It boggles the mind how people see cruelty as a sliding spectrum rather than binary. If you’re supporting the animal agriculture industry, there is always cruelty going into your purchases. This country gasses pigs (it’s extremely aversive), suffocates chicks in binbags, shoots days old calves, the list goes on. [Land of Hope & Glory](https://youtu.be/dvtVkNofcq8) is a documentary that covers solely UK farms.
We should not be advocating for welfare when the problems are inherent with exploitation. Abolition or nada!
Imagine if protests ‘erputed’ over the cost of living crisis
