2. I wondered when small missiles will happen, because it was an obvious solution for a few years. Nice that Estonians have progress on this!

3. still too expensive. 50 k with 56% success rate(this will of course be lower in real world conditions, but let’s give it a benfeit of a doubt) meaning a 100k price to shoot down shaheed, which costs from 20k up tp 100k for the most expensive modifications. This does not work. This is exactly the problem with westert military industrial complex – it is focused on expensive “high tech” solutions which are great if you will fight guys in slippers with AK/47s like they are used to, but it is not gonna fly against serious aggressor with giant industrial complex and millions of bodies(and shaheeds!) to throw at ya.

8. I don’t want to talk down on this, it certainly has it’s uses, but 2km range seems a bit low.

   At that distance, you can destroy a drone with a SPAAG like Gepard – their 35mm guns have a max range of 3.5 – 5km. Since drones won’t fly effective evasive maneuvers, you don’t really need the capability of a missile to follow and home in on a target. And, of course, a burst from a 35mm gun is way cheaper.

10. can someone explain why the Ukrainians can’t strap a minigun to a cessna or An-2 and shoot off those shaheeds?

    i understand those planes would be very vulnerable, but they can also fly low and just above cities or just far enough from the line of contact?

    or am i missing something?

13. The real solution for Shahed missiles is to arm Ukraine with cruise missiles and give them intel about targets inside Russia.

    The war could end very quickly.

    Inventing anti-Shahed technology is just treating symptoms while ignoring the root cause.

15. More targeting of production facilities required IMO. 

    OTOH, this is needed too and less costly than patriot so already a significant saving and likely to come down in cost if mass produced.
