    What I DO believe is that there is a concerted effort from most of the media to spin a narrative against the UK. Which I take quite personally. As should all UK citizens.

  30. The UK standard of living has dropped in almost every measure over the past 15 years since the financial crisis. The UK was the worst hit country due to the reliance on the financial industry and failure to pivot.
    The Tories messed up many services with regulation on water, energy infrastructure, public transport, child services, many NHS services and house building being corrupted by the rentier investment class.
    Add increasing taxes, regulation and the entrepreneurs and job creators have given up on investing in the UK.
    Labour don’t understand business and have made it worse on bad choice on taxes and regulation. We need good paying jobs, not private companies being taxed further to pay for welfare and the awfully managed NHS.

  31. Tbh, We are a country that expects world class services, hates privatization, and hates paying taxes. I think they’ve just stopped trying to make anything better and just milk the treasury for everything its worth.

    we all know that means they’re gonna once again fuck with middle class and poor people while giving the rich (and I mean multimillionaire and billionaire rich) an easier time. 

    and then look at what Reeves actually wants to do and what has been done

    -raise income tax
    -lower national insurance (an attack on the NHS btw)
    -apparently going after ISAs (better hide your money under your floorboards)
    -lifting 2 child cap. (that’s not going to help btw)
    -pension age rising once again
    -raising alcohol levy (so killing pubs)
    -business exit tax
    -the “side hustle tax”. (so you earn money and pay tax you buy something you pay tax and now you sell things you pay tax)

    something something death and taxes
