It’s about reducing social contacts and avoiding unvaccinated people getting infected, since they typically get way sicker and fill up hospitals.
Yes, vaccinated people can also get sick and be infectious to some degree. But again, it’s about reducing social contacts for those at the highest risk.
A full lockdown would be more effective (and needed probably).
I am just explaining. Not judging if this is correct or not.
This is not gonna work 100%
We need this in Bulgaria

Too little, too late. With a vaccine mandate in August there would be no fourth wave, and we would be enjoying normal life this winter.
Now we have this partial lockdown, which will not be very effective and damage the economy.
Well done, Austria!
No compromise with those anti science idiots and their conspiracy theories.
Good. Anyone not vaccinated by now is just a fucking piece of shit. Lock them up for all I care. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
Maybe to ensure the rules are adhered to, the Austrian government could develop work camps to keep these people in, for the safety of the general public of course
Based Austria. I hope they are able to enforce it. If it works, it will increase the chance that Germany finally takes more action with respect to our idiots.
I’m a scientist and fully vaccinated. But enforce lockdowns to a specific group of people give me the creeps. Sounds anticonstitucional to me!
Don’t comply
Oida
I wonder if it will boost vaccinations numbers or will just create more rage in people.
I understand the idea, but is not inhumane given the minimal effect this will have on the spread of covid?

Good. Lock them down and throw out the keys.
