Now, in other news, officials in Kev continue to deny uh claims from Moscow that Ukrainian forces have been encircled in the strategic city of Prosk, the important hub in the region of Donetsk lies on a major supply route for Ukraine’s army and has been in Russia sites for over a year. Russia, meanwhile, says it is tightening the encirclement around the enemy and claims it’s captured a few buildings in the town. For more on this story, here’s Emanuel Shaz reporting from Kev. In Pocrind region, fierce fighting is still ongoing with the latest video shared by one of the Ukrainian brigades working in the city showing those very same Ukrainian soldiers raising a Ukrainian flag within an administrative building. So that contradicts Moscow’s claim of uh controlling entirely this key logistics hub in Donesk region. Meanwhile, Moscow is asking uh Ukrainian soldiers on site to surrender. This is not something they are ready to do and Kiev denies all full encirclement of Brosk and of its sectors. But fighting uh is very complicated because Russia uh dominates uh the key logistic routes that Ukrainian soldiers are as are using. But so far to the admission of K this is a fighting uh of eight or 9 to1 in favor of Russia. But this fighting continues. Ward Zalinski was in the sector on Tuesday. He was visiting brigades fighting there. That’s a a strong statement from the Ukrainian president who visits the front line on a regular basis.

Ukraine denied Russia’s claims that its forces were encircled by Moscow’s troops on November 5 as they battled to keep hold of Pokrovsk, a strategically located eastern city under intense assault. Up to 300 Russian soldiers were fighting in the city in a renewed push, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. FRANCE 24’s Emmanuelle Chaze tells us more from Kyiv.

  31. It is nice to see a more realistic assessment of the battle of Pokrovsk. We have been hearing for over a weeks now that Russia had encircled it and taken control. This is the typical Russian "plant a flag" and claim success operation. Most of the reports on the ground from the actual battlefield relate to the devastation of the Russian forces again and again at the hands of the Ukrainians. I can't count how many western news medias have mis-reported this. Russia is not an inevitable force it is the result of a sick national ego with Putin at the core of it willing to use terrorism and murder as his tools. Every sign from the battlefronts and the technical advances of the Ukrainians lean towards a much darker future for Russian and Putin. The satellite nations are in revolt and Putins ego only brings more force against Russia and its people.

This is consistent with Russia's call for their surrender. It's important to analyze the specific claims being made rather than jumping to conclusions based on partial information.
