As the title says, does the notice period of 2 weeks during the probation period also ends towards the end of that month? So, if I resign on Dec 1st, the notice period runs to the end of December 31st and I have to be in the office?
As per this contract, I can’t terminate my current job before joining on Dec 1st and have to serve the notice period. Considering the Christmas holidays, would it be feasible to complete all the formalities by December 31st and start another job on January 3rd (1st working day)?
During the probation period, you can hand in your notice at any time and then it is two weeks after that. Otherwise there would be something like “Während der Probezeit kann der Vertrag beiderseitig mit einer Frist von zwei Wochen **zum Monatsende** gekündigt werden.”
Ask your employer….. there is a contract but your employer might be very flexible
