  1. ‘Retail prices went up from 2.1% in March to 2.7% in April, according to the BRC-NielsenIQ price index.

This was the highest annual rate of inflation it recorded since September 2011.’

  2. Tesco, Sainsburys, recording record profits and still putting the prices up?

Smells of collusion from all of them. Price matching doesn’t do anything if you charge the same price..

Greed and want for infinite growth in a country that is stagnating is causing this. Nothing more.

  3. It’s only one thing.. Greed greed and more greed..

This prices rises of 2.7% isn’t true.. They take in to consideration everything ..
But if you look the essential items we need like cooking oil.. Bread. Eggs. Flour.meat. Then it’s gone up 5/6%
Cooking oil alone is up by 100% nearly.

The government doesn’t give two shits .. All they do is talk talk talk…
If the government was really about the people. They could could atleast tell the supermarket’s to keep their profits low in these hard times…

  4. I bought a week’s shopping, some bulk house items, a takeaway, and a full tank of diesel yesterday. £235.

  5. Whats hilarious about all this is our work hold staff meetings every week where they praise the store for making record profits week after week, have done for nearly 2 years now. Its been pathetic to watch the greedy little shits go on tv and say how priced *need* to keep going up for whatever bollocks reason they decide that day.
