The only way out of this is most likely through negotiations at some stage. I understand her sentiment but if Ukraine manages to retake all its territory, discussions will still need to be had.
Cuba Missiles Crisis taught the West a different wisdom though. It doesn’t seem to be about making Putin feel isolated (why would he care ? He’s never going to be isolated, look the map of countries refusing to sanction Russia), but about making sure no nukes fly.

.If you care about a prolonged conflict during which there will be another colossal transfer of wealth from the taxpayer to the arms industry then you won’t want peace talks.
I agree, we should stop seeking contact with Putin, but we should let Russia know that we are open to talks if they initiate them
