  1. Arguably the most powerful oligarch in Ukraine who controlled PrivatBank, former Gov of Dnipropetrovsk, key-player in the founding/funding of far-right Azov, Dnipro, Aidar battalions, and bank-roller of President Zelensky.

    Famous for using his influence over far-right militias to forcibly seize control of Kremenchug oil refinery in 2014 post-Euromaidan, which eventually led to his ouster from politics.

    And the insinuation that the $5.9b of IMF funds(of 15b total tranche) were used to bail out PrivatBank after the scandal erupted.

  2. Weird form of “justice” when two billionaires vanish $5.5 billion and their “punishment” is to pay $3 billion in fines.

    Doesn’t sound much like “justice” but rather like “the cost of doing business”.

    And why is a London court casting verdicts in cases of Ukrainian corruption? Is it because IMF money was involved? Why not trial this in Ukraine?
