Newsom announces California’s record growth in battery storage and clean energy at COP30. While Trump cedes clean energy manufacturing and jobs to China, California is accelerating its transition to 100% clean energy. It is also joining the Global Energy Storage and Grids Pledge, a COP initiative.

   This was the most interesting part of the article to me, along with Newsom attending the global climate summit in place of America. If California were a country it would be the fourth largest economy in the world, just behind Germany. New York would be the 9th largest, just behind Italy and above Canada. Governors don’t need Trump’s permission to exercise their leadership and do the right thing. Let the shit hole red states dig for coal while the most prosperous states in the country move ahead with the energy transition that began before Trump took office. And it’s great to see the rational part of America still represented on the world stage as Trump and his sycophants try to make the country a global laughingstock.
