  1. Unfortunately l get migraines from hot chocolate! Though l love it so much l still make the odd cup. That mix looks great

  2. Kicking myself for not buying the Whittards cherry bakewell one I tried in store – feels like the one that got away

  3. Its 17 degrees in London today, I’m getting the ice lollies out

  4. £9 for hot chocolate? For that price I want someone to to gently cup my nuts as they pour it into my mouth

  5. I get the proper stuff in bulk from Pendragon drinks, basically the same as hotel chocolat but much cheaper

  6. I’ll tell you which one it isn’t – the Hotel Chocolat one that’s just lots of little chocolate flakes that you have to add to milk and slowly heat in a pan, stirring the whole time.

It takes ages, doesn’t work that well, and doesn’t taste that good.

  7. Sainsbury’s had an absolutely amazing own brand hot chocolate powder a few years ago, been chasing that high since as they haven’t brought it back for several Christmases

  8. Take 1 cup of milk.
    1 mars bar.

Heat up milk (don’t boil it) add mars bar. Stir until completely dissolved. Pour into mug and drink.

It is by far the best hot Choco ever. So thick and creamy and chocolatey!

  9. We actually had the whittard standard hot chocolate last year, but this year we are using lindt which i think is superior

  10. The costa one you get in tesco is amazing. So rich. I like having one in bed after a heavy session on the 🍺

  11. Sticky Toffee Pudding from Whittards is absolutely delish.

  12. Last year I received some hazelnut-cocoa paste (not Nutella brand) as a gift and I started making hot chocolate with it. Delicious.

  13. I used to love the Whittards mint hot chocolate, but they don’t do it anymore. Their orange one is nice too though!

  14. Well, guess I’m going to be trying all these out over the winter 🙃

  15. Cadbury’s though it’s so expensive we don’t anymore.

I like hot chocolate with half a teaspoon of cinnamon, and a teaspoon of honey. Great Christmassy flavour.

  16. Mango white hot chocolate. They released it earlier this year I think.

  17. Hot chocolate season is the best! I’m a big fan of Whittard’s Cookies & Cream flavour.

  18. Just reminded me that I bought some black forest gateaux stuff a while back that I’ve not opened yet, thanks!

I remember a really nice vegan black forest gateaux hot chocolate I had a few years back that used beet for the redness and flavour, was lovely.

  19. I’m a big fan of the black forest hot chocolate from Costa.

  20. I’ve got a velvetiser and recently found out that I can cut up after eights into tiny little pieces and add it when making my hot chocolate. Been a game changer and now live off mint hot chocolates.

  21. None. I’m traditional cocoa all the way. Hot chocolate is far too worldly for me

  22. It was warm enough to wear a tank top where I am, global warming in action 🙁

I love the Asda Black Forest hot chocolate it’s so good 😭😭

  23. Knoops 65% chocolate flakes. Costs me £13 a pot. I don’t drink or smoke. This is my one vice.

  24. Twinings Swiss, made in the Velvetiser. There’s a Knoops near us though, and oh my GOD, my life has been changed.

Actually, about 15-20 years ago they did a Galaxy hot chocolate which was essentially chocolate milk in a cup which you microwaved at home. It was like drinking a molten Galaxy. I miss it still.

  25. I only use the hotel chocolat velvitiser now. It’s ruined ALL other hot chocolates and makers out there. Coffee shop hot chocolates suck.

I personally go for their chocolate orange and top it up with a bit of the Classic chocolate mix.

    It’s to die for.

  26. Few cubes of dark chocolate, milk, in the milk frother (dualit one) and done. No need for any of these expensive powders that are mostly sugar and no cocoa. Just real chocolate
