Portuguese company Clever Advertising on Friday inaugurated its new office in Malta, representing a total investment of €7.5 million. The company operates across five continents and has fifteen years of experience in the digital marketing sector, the government said in a statement.
Globally, Clever Advertising employs more than 350 people. With the opening of its Malta office, it is already employing 30 people locally, with plans to increase this number to 80 in the near future. This clearly demonstrates the company’s commitment to expanding its operations in Malta.
The inauguration was attended by the Minister for the Economy, Enterprise and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, together with the CEO of Gaming Malta, Ivan Filetti, and the CEO of the Malta Gaming Authority, Charles Mizzi. Minister Schembri spoke about how the opening of this new office further strengthens the ongoing confidence that international companies place in Malta.
“The opening of this new office is proof that, as a government, we will continue to support every idea, with optimism that we can foster more innovation, backed by a more modern and digital infrastructure, and by investing fully in our students through education and training,” Minister Schembri said. He concluded by congratulating the leadership of Clever Advertising for this important step for both the company and the Maltese economy.
During the inauguration, a new programme funded by Clever Advertising was also announced. Through this initiative, Maltese youths will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and practical training in the digital sector-an initiative aimed at helping young people flourish and enter the labour market with high-quality career prospects.
Gaming Malta CEO Ivan Filetti stated: “Today we are not only celebrating the inauguration of new office, but also the continued strengthening of Malta’s gaming ecosystem. We are pleased to welcome Clever Advertising, a company whose energy, values, and investment-both in people and in interactive entertainment-align perfectly with Malta’s Vision 2050, our roadmap for sustainable and resilient growth.”
For his part, Clever Advertising’s Managing Director, Alberto Simoes, said: “This is an important and exciting step for Clever Advertising. Malta was a natural strategic choice for us. The country offers a strong talent pool, proximity to key clients, and a robust regulatory environment in both the Gaming and Financial Services sectors-factors that make it one of the best destinations in Europe to grow a technology business.”
