Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has unveiled its first 50 voyages for the Asia-Pacific 2027-28 summer season, offering travelers an unprecedented choice of destinations and immersive experiences. The lineup features nearly 70 ports of call across Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and Hawaii, with a strong focus on Japan, which alone will see 22 port visits.
This announcement reflects NCL’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for luxury cruising in the Asia-Pacific region, while providing travelers a wide range of flexible options.
More Ports, More Discovery
The upcoming season includes a mix of classic and trending destinations. Guests can explore Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and iconic Hawaiian islands. Cruises close to home in Australia and New Zealand will feature extended port stays and overnight visits, including NCL’s first call to Esperance and an overnight stay in Fremantle, Western Australia.
Voyages will range from seven to 21 days, catering to travelers seeking both short getaways and longer explorations. Overnight stays allow passengers to enjoy local culture, cuisine, and nightlife, providing a richer travel experience than standard day port calls.
Japan Cruises Take Center Stage
Japan is a key highlight for NCL’s 2027-28 APAC season. Norwegian Jade will sail from Tokyo and Yokohama, offering nine- to 17-day roundtrip and open-jaw itineraries. Ports include Hirara (Miyakojima), Naha (Okinawa), Hakodate, Kagoshima, Akita, Sendai, Aomori, and Kobe, with an overnight stop in Kobe for travelers to fully explore the city.
This expanded Japanese itinerary gives passengers the chance to experience traditional festivals, local markets, and iconic landmarks while enjoying the comfort of a luxury cruise ship.
Australia and New Zealand Cruises
Norwegian Spirit will operate in Australia and New Zealand for the fifth consecutive season. Homeporting in Sydney, Singapore, and Auckland, the ship will offer eight- to 21-day itineraries. Guests will enjoy scenic coastlines, local wildlife, and cultural hubs, combining relaxation with discovery.
These cruises provide an excellent opportunity for Australian travelers and nearby residents to explore their region from a fresh perspective, including hidden gems and remote destinations often inaccessible by land travel.
Hawaiian Inter-Island Adventures
Pride of America continues to offer the only seven-day inter-island cruises in Hawaii, connecting four major islands from Honolulu. Travelers can explore Maui, Big Island, Oahu, and Kauai in a single itinerary while enjoying luxurious accommodations and on-board amenities. Overnight stays allow guests to immerse themselves in local Hawaiian culture and natural beauty.
Luxury Experiences Onboard
All three ships provide NCL’s signature luxury services, including fine dining, entertainment, and well-appointed accommodations. Passengers can enjoy relaxed dining, world-class wellness facilities, and curated shore excursions at each destination.
The combination of overnight stays, scenic cruising, and immersive excursions ensures travelers experience destinations fully while enjoying the comfort of a floating resort.
