They were the first band to play Sarajevo after the Bosnian war in 1997 and were loved by the Bosnian people for it, Bono even got an honorary Bosnian passport. I suppose in their mind they’re doing something similar, on a much smaller scale.
I think it was fine, especially as they were invited to do it. Hopefully they were able to bring some brief respite to the people who saw them.
