Do we still worship the West in Poland as much as we used to?

2. I moved here from the US and would always laugh that if I brought a CD if let’s say 50 cent everyone wanted to listen to it etc. but idk old west vs new west I dnt think ppl want the new west and I don’t blame them it’s a bit of a shit show compared to what it was in the 90s.

   A lot more polarized and stuff like cancel culture etc have become over played and tiresome. But that’s just my opinion..

   I know it’s just a show but it isn’t wrong people are more worried about if you’re right or left and people stopped worrying about what made “the west” so great back then

3. Definitely not, but thats not to say it isnt still looked at favorably. The differences/living standards are slowly, but surely decreasing. Also, more people have emigrated/visited the West, which partially disperses the “grass is always greener on the other side” effect

4. The whole internet is the West – there has never been more love to the West than what it is now especially in the young generation. The following of the so called Western values has never been so widespread. The influence of the English language bubble is by far much bigger than what Communists attempted with the Russian language (I am certainly not comparing the West with the Communism). The desire of the young Poles to look and sound more Western (and oh, for God’s sake the accent!) has never been so great. On the other hand there is some kind of a massive movement to laugh at those who decide to wear sandals and socks! Kind of bizarre this can be happening in a so Western style freedom orientated minds. Or, perhaps this is what they do really represent themselves these days? Blindly following the West with not much love for the local culture and the tradition of respect? It does feel sometimes they would happily sacrifice their independence for more Western colourfulness. And that pat in the back feeling!

5. It depends. Critical support for USA and United Kingdom and Canada. France and Germany can go fuck themselves, them dragging their feet about Russia.

   Why would we need to worship something we already are?

   Poland during communism simply wanted to return to where it had traditionally been oriented culturally – which was Rome and the West.

9. Nope. Currently we are the good guys so we’re going to milk this cow until it dies. Also imho wester Europe has lost themselves in its charity to people who don’t need it. All in all I’m kinda proud of my country.

    It’s the US and West supplying guns to Ukraine to kill those Russian bastards. Hope the guns keep coming and the Ukrainians can keep making more fertilizer of Russian boys. Slava Ukraina. NATO is the best thing that has happened to Europe in the last 300 years+.
