People should not try depending on drone cloaks, careful maneuver with respect to the likely patrolled position, time of day, even the gap between birds can lend you some time on your life should you try crossing no mans land like this. I’m not sure what’s going on that they feel the need to send these poor bastards to scout at these times… Or if they’re trying to wander home from a failed assault.
But you need to obfuscate yourself, never silhouette, alter your course by miles if you have to, to ensure that you’re not in the open this way. Familiarize yourself with the battery life of the drones, familiarize yourself with the battery life of the spotter drone, try to plan large bounds at intervals between those gaps while remaining extremely still and obfuscated in between.
Best case scenario you’re up against a crew like Magyar’s birds and you’re covering any decent ground, maybe 10-20% chance you’re going to survive if you don’t REALLY take your life into your own hands and get really fucking patient looking at your watch. These dudes don’t fuck around, either you be a ghost; or you become one.
