They’re doing everything they can but they admit they can be doing more.
The Party is making efforts?
> Johnson was asked what more a 77-year-old viewer, Elsie, could do to reduce spending and was told she was already cutting down to one meal a day and spending days on buses to keep warm.
> […]
> “Just to remind you that the 24-hour freedom bus pass was something that I introduced,” [Boris] added.
Don’t worry about the fact you can’t afford to heat your home or feed yourself, you can just ride the bus endlessly. Instead of dying of starvation and hypothermia in your home, the bus driver will be there to call you an ambulance when you collapse from malnutrition
What efforts?
In the same interview when asked about a windfall tax he said that it would prevent the energy companies from investing in what we want them to invest in….
Ignoring the fact that if you tax that money YOU as the government get to decide exactly where to invest it.
Fucking cunt.
But if they do more the people with mountains of cash might have a slightly smaller mountain of cash
I mean, the obvious short-term answer is windfall tax – Rishi hasn’t dismissed it out of hand, to my knowledge.
Might be too close to the bone for the Tory voter base, though.
“Efforts” that don’t even exist.
What efforts? I’ve yet to see any. He keeps banging on about it whenever partygate is brought up to him (claiming the public doesn’t care that he broke the rules, and that they want him to “get on with tackling” the crisis, so he can’t resign) but he (and the party) have done sweet fuck all about it.
One thing they could do is order the damn councils to get the £150 rebate out to their constituents. People were told it would be arriving in April but there’s councils now saying they should be delivering it by September.
I can’t help but feel it was just noise to appear as if they were doing something and instead they’re holding it off for the additional increase coming in October.
You haven’t done anything that will actually help people.
Cut 5p per litre from fuel – Fuel still went up and so there is no saving.
Gave £150 council tax back – Makes no difference as what really is £12.50 a month these days
Subsided £200 on fuel bill – We have to pay that back anyway and saving £16.66 a month is nothing.
We aren’t getting no help from the Government that is actually helping us live. Prices keep going up and up. The things I’ve mentioned have been countered by the rise in petrol/diesel anyway let alone the price rise in food and going out (food/entertainment/etc).
I see it as if we continue like this, in the next 5 years there’s going to be a lot of landlords getting no money from their renters and a most of the population will be in debt so high that they won’t ever be able to pay it off.
Why admit something to then intentionally do nothing in the slightest about it?
If the efforts aren’t enough then here’s an idea: **Fucking do more!**
Obviously not happy with current affairs, but the silver lining is that it’s completely exposing the Tories as unsuitable to Govern
What efforts?
Funny how he says this in the run up to local elections.
Almost like when my ex father in law used to eat a salad, the night before a doctors appointment, because he thought it would cancel out all the shit that would affect his diabetes.
Then step aside and let another party do it!
Since you had 12 years to fix everything and did sweet fuck all!
If only he were in a position to do something about it.
A few government figures are WEF agents and their goal is to strip common people of their assets. They openly say that people are expected to use their savings to go through this manufactured crisis.
The end game is Digital ID, social credit score, UBI and slavery at WEF partner corporations.
man if only he were in charge and could fix that
Enough for who?
He can’t tax his buddies to help a bunch of random strangers, can he?
If only there was someone he knew is a position of power. He could even try going all the way up to the Prime Minister of the country to see if he could do something about it
Does “pretending to care” count as an effort? I guess if you’re a Tory…
Johnson on his back foot! Hmm wounder why?
Politcis in the UK need to be run for the country at large, not for seats in local elections.
Just like when he didn’t bother to go to COBRA meetings.
Just like when he dragged his feet over lockdown
Just like when they removed Covid restrictions early
Clever move Johnson, but we can tell when you’re not lying too
Always the same..not enough..
It’s no.10 not doing enough
Feels like we are walking into a humanitarian crisis.
Never thought I’d ever say this about an individual – but I hope he gets shot.
But then he would become a Martyr so even that’s pointless. The conservatives are criminals with blood on their hands.
didn’t Sunak say that Boris told him there’s no need to do anymore?

We tried [nothing](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lOTyUfOHgas) and were all out of ideas
