Lithuanian parliament drops word ‘partnership’, proposes ‘civil union’ instead

  2. It is way better than nothing. A law recognizing gay “unions” is good for gay couples because they can access bigger loans or take decisions when the other partner is incapacitated. Another positive point is that it paves the way for a more accepting society. Positive rhetoric and good laws will make gay people more accepted.

    I wish my country’s parliament could vote for something like this. Maybe in the next 2 decades or so
