Russia's Massive Drone and Missile Attack on Ukraine on November 15

On the night of November 15, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine: from the air, three X-47M2 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles and 135 strike drones of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types were launched from the Tambov region.

Air Defense forces destroyed two X-47M2 “Kinzhal” missiles and 91 enemy UAVs of various types.

Drones were launched from directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtersk, Bryansk, the Russian Federation, Chauda Guardske, the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea.

About 80 of them were “Shahed” drones.

The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, EW units and unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

Timeline of events and official consequences

According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defenses shot down two X-47M2 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles and 91 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, and other types in the north, south, and east of the country. Confirmed hits on one missile and 41 strike UAVs at 13 locations, and debris from the downed (wreckage) at four locations
