How much money do you think Jeanne Delahaye received to launch this petition and spam our mailboxes.
Because I cannot believe still thinks a dialogue with the Kremlin is possible.

Shouldn't the police investigate this?
And unsolicited messages are not allowed on mailboxes anymore, right?

  1. I don’t get why those people want to talk with Russia when its pretty clear that Russia doesn’t want to talk. This was already clear since the beginning and now for the past 11months with Trump/Putin. What are these people on ?

  2. Do they have the same in Russia ? To renew dialogue and stop the war? Asking for a friend 👍🏻.

  3. As I said in the threat yesterday.

Fuck these people. They’d also call for negociations if a russian soldier would stand in front of their door with an AK. The only thing that helps then aint negociation but a bunch of 5.56 or 7.62.

  4. Ok this is a demented and hysterical take, you all need to take a moment and remember that this is Europe, where we’re meant to have old fashioned things like civil liberties.

Whether you can believe it or not, there are people in Luxembourg and across Europe who, for a variety of reasons including *but not limited to* being pro-Russia/anti-Ukraine (which is not identical with being on the Kremlin’s payroll, critically important distinction) actually want dialogue with Russia or a softer approach towards the Kremlin. These are European citizens like you and me, and they have a right to their view and to express it, more on the legality of mailing campaigns specifically later.

It’s not my view, I’m up for going as far as EU boots on the ground if it comes to it, I think Russia is a cultural and economic as well as military threat to the EU and as far as I’m concerned it’s for the Russian people to prove otherwise by doing something about their government. I’m not on the Kremlin’s payroll.

But I don’t think that people who disagree with me should automatically be investigated by the police because of their views. That’s the sort of attitude more appropriate to, oh I don’t know, the fucking Stasi or the KGB. And it starts with assuming that anyone of a differing viewpoint must be some kind of corrupted or threatening agent or is engaging in a psy-op. Most people who disagree with me are just stupid, not evil. Try thinking that first, before running screaming to the police to protect you from political opinions you don’t like. Because, you know, one day soon it could turn out that *your* opinion upsets someone and the police you wish to empower to deal with that sort of thing come knocking on *your* door.

Is foreign intervention in domestic politics real? Is hybrid warfare a reality? Yes and yes. But you need to calibrate your sensitivities in a much more adult way if you want to remain and appear sane in the face of those threats, and more importantly if we’re going to retain the liberties that make Europe different from Russia in the first place.

If it’s just about the legality of posting unsolicited letters in mailboxes, firstly the new law in 2024 applies to commercial advertisements and there’s nothing I’m aware of to suggest it applies to things like charity appeals, local events or political information. More importantly, stop wishing for a police state. Half the posts on this sub are about a real or perceived violent crime wave gripping the country, and you want the cops dicking around checking up on letter and flyer campaigns because you think Jeanne Delahaye is a Russian spy.

    Get a grip.
