They need a lot of materials not available in local French B & Q’s …Specialist suppliers and fairly skilled makers too… so just why are so many being made so easily and why our intelligence service or the French pokice cant track them down?

So many far right anti-refugee comments here. Our country is in a sorry state.
We are heading for a Sweden-style immigration crisis with this kind of volume. They welcomed millions of migrants and ended up with huge spikes in crime and gang activity in the areas where these nationalities settled.
Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen said on the 28th April that the drop to zero was evidence that Home Secretary Priti Patel’s scheme, which will see asylum seekers sent 4,000 miles to claim refugee status from Rwanda, is ‘working already’.

This is a global problem! Every rich country will experience this as more places become unliveable and the world increasingly becomes unstable from war and insecurity caused by global environmental degradation and a failure of politics.
Perhaps we (and by we I mean our shit government) should look into the legalities *before* we start ‘trafficking’ people to Rwanda.

Honestly the channel is a mess… it does need to be addressed. My nana in Kent has had random people showing up to her door and getting delivered random packages. Things very strange lately.

This isn’t a troll but a genuine question. Why would anyone want to come to the UK as a low paid worker? Arguably the opportunities here for low paid / illegal workers are awful. The best you can expect is to scrape by with the cost of living as high as it is at best.
If you went to an Eastern European country your standard of living would be much higher (relatively) as the cost of living is so low. You could survive relatively comfortably on a few hundred euros a month, where as you’re going to be very uncomfortable on 3 figures a month in the UK.
Unless I’m being incredibly stupid I cannot see the appeal to come the UK unless these people have been lied to as a ‘land of opportunity’ by those who are looking to exploit them.
As sad as this situation is for people trying to immigrate into the UK, and not to downplay their issues, but I can help but feel bad for the Border Force officers and RNLI !Volunteers! Who have to go out and rescue migrants and are then shouted at by people when they return!
Have they not heard how racist and horrible the UK is? Do they not read the guardian?
Until we start jailing those criminals in Westminster what’s left of this country is going to be even more unrecognisable in 10 years
This is the future for Europe millions of displaced peoples. Europe has a difficult decision on how to fix this short of taking in millions of people year on year.
we must put sanctions on nations that allow such mass exoduses of people and refuse repatriations and start setting up camps close to their homes and heavily investing in them and actively taking part in resolving the reasons they are fleeing
more than likely Europe will do nothing and accept its fate as millions of people in the next few decades will make the journey what we are seeing now is the tip of the iceberg
