🇫🇮In Finland, Russian military officer Voislav Torden has been sentenced to life in prison for war crimes in Ukraine – this is the first case of its kind
✅ The court sentenced Russian Voislav Torden (Jan Petrovsky) to life in prison for war crimes in Ukraine in 2014–2015.
✅ Petrovsky is a co-founder of the Russian N@zi group "Rusich", which fought in Ukraine on the side of Russian-backed militants. The investigation proved that he and the "Rusich" fighters together killed 22 Ukrainian soldiers and seriously injured four in the fall of 2014. Petrovsky was also charged with violating the laws and customs of war.
✅ Torden was found guilty of four war crimes related to his actions in the Luhansk region in 2014, including the killing of a wounded Ukrainian soldier, the mutilation of another, and taking degrading photos of dead soldiers. He was sentenced to life in prison in March 2025.
✅ In court, he did not admit his guilt. This is the first case in which Finland has prosecuted a Russian for crimes committed in Ukraine.
✅ Previously, the Finnish court did not allow the extradition of Petrovsky at the request of Ukraine. He was arrested in Finland in the summer of 2023 – where he lived under the new name Voislav Torden.
Russian's can and will be held to account for their war crimes
Russian war criminals now know that they aren't going to be living freely in Europe, even after the War has ended

This is a list I would love to see grow Russian being convicted and spending life in prison for war crimes.
I’m not sure a Russian Neo Nazi deserves to be rewarded with prison in Finland, but I’ll take it.
Next on the list is [Alexey Milchakov](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexey_Milchakov) who is the commander of the Russian neo-Nazi group “Rusich.”
he will have a pretty good life there. Scandinavian prisons are quiet nice …
Now send him to server in Ukrainian Prison 😉
Trump will now reach out and offer him a position on his team.
Make him rot
Like how he is rocking a Christmas sweater. Sorry POS.
It’s frustrating to me that He’s clearly not sorry about his actions or identification as a neo nazi, he’s wearing a jumper featuring Nordic runes in court. Also Finnish prison is waaaaay too good for him.
I don’t know about the Finnish Criminal Laws, is “Life in Prison” actually “Life in Prison” over there or is it just a synonym for something like 25 years of prison time?
I ask because in Germany we have this confusion, although we have a sentence called “Lebenslange Haft”, so “Life in Prison”, in practice it is limited to 25 years and only the worst criminals, e.g. serial killers and such, get “Sicherungsverwahrung”, so they serve actually lifetime in prison.
I know, it is retarded, but I didn’t write the criminal laws of our country lol.
If that Finnish court sentencing actually means life in prison, it is adequate punishment.
I’m convinced, the death penalty, whether official or unofficial by sending them to a prison, where they assuredly get stabbed to death or something, is too benign, then they only serve a few years until their suffering is ended by the sentence.
Lifetime in prison, especially for such a young guy, forces them to sit like 40, 50 years (probably longer in a prison with high standards like scandinavian ones) in prison, reflect every day their crimes that led them there and that they will never again walk as a free man outside, their remaining life controlled by a tight prison regime, every day, if they want to or not.
Sadly it is to be expected that the Ruzzians will probably try to pull some stunt, arrest some stupid Finnish Tourists in Russia under made up crimes, sentence them to a long time in a Russian Prison Camp and the Finns exchange them then for that single guy.
What was he doing in Finland?
So he lived in Finland? How does that even make sense from a russian nationalist perspective? Oh right, they are not only murderous scum but also hypocrites.
Why is he wearing gloves lol
While I appreciate justice served, a Finnish prison is nicer to live in than Russia
Weird photo, why would he wear tactical gloves in the courtroom.. I bet he lives and breathes the army. Good to see he’s never going to be part of any army ever again.
this is good. but finland should hand him over to Ukraine. The crimes were committed in Ukraine, to Ukrainians. They deserve their own Justice.
>Russian’s can and will be held to account for their war crimes
Finland will put you on trial and accumulate the evidence and sentence you gladly.
Finland has righteous focus and provides needed inspiration. Without justice victory is incomplete.
It’s the correct sentence. I’m not too happy that my tax dollar is going to feed this dude for the next 2 decades, but it’s the maximum punishement so it is what it is.
Is Rusich still operating in Ukraine? Havent heard from them since that whole human sacrifice thing. Was always hoping they’d be taken off the battlefield.
I see he’s wearing bitch mittens
Hat backwards in court is also a crime.
Good!
They must all pay!
It’s a shame they have such nice prisons. He doesn’t deserve such a comfortable future. I wish they would build russian style prisons for russians, make them feel more at home.
Is it wrong to want to reinstate labor camps only for such types? ⛏️
