Manchester United wing-back Patrick Dorgu is set to earn his 11th cap for Denmark when they take on Belarus in a crucial World Cup qualifier.
Patrick Dorgu has made 11 appearances for Manchester United this season, selected regularly by Ruben Amorim, even though he is still developing his game to play at the highest level.
It would be bold to suggest Dorgu has cemented his place in the team, as Amorim often selects Diogo Dalot at left wing-back, much to the annoyance of many United fans.
At the young age of 20, Dorgu has plenty of time to develop his game, but it’s a positive that Amorim appears to see potential in the Denmark international.
Dorgu was one of 20 United players called up for international duty in November, so Amorim will be keen to see how he performs in Denmark’s upcoming games against Belarus and Scotland.

Denmark manager Brian Riemer admits he should’ve given Dorgu more minutes in the past.
Tipsbladet have run comments from the Denmark boss where he accepts that Dorgu should have played more under him.
Riemer was speaking ahead of Denmark’s qualifier against Belarus, with Dorgu expected to start at left back as Joakim Mæhle has been ruled out.
“Now Dorgu will get the chance,” Riemer said.
“He still has areas for development, both he and we know that, but he is also young.
“He is completely ready to play these international matches, because he plays matches almost every week for Manchester United, where he meets the best players in the world.
“He has to go in and show that he can translate the promising moves into some good performances for the national team, and I am looking forward to seeing that.
“No one doubts Patrick Dorgu’s qualities. He has deserved more than I have given him, if I am to be completely honest.
“Based on his merits, he could well have been given more playing time by me. Hopefully Patrick does well in the upcoming games, so I have even more doubts in the future.”
Most of Dorgu’s 10 appearances for Denmark have come as a substitute, so it’s an opportunity for the United prospect to impress his coaches once more.
These are two big fixtures for Denmark because they have yet to qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup, despite securing a place in the play-offs.
Denmark are currently joint-top with Scotland in Group C, boasting 10 points each with two games left to play.
They face off next week in the second qualifying match of the November international break.
Dorgu will be eager to play a pivotal role in two wins for his country alongside Rasmus Hojlund.
Christian Eriksen back in the Denmark squad
Former United midfielder Christian Eriksen returned to the Denmark squad in October 2025.
After leaving Old Trafford as a free agent in the summer, Eriksen took longer than expected to find a new club before eventually signing for Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.
The wait to find a new club led to a notable omission from the Denmark squad in September.
This is Eriksen’s second call-up since then as he targets his final World Cup campaign.
