Dora 2026, Croatia’s national selection for choosing its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest, will take place at the HRT studios in Prisavlje, Zagreb.
The relocation comes as the HRT faces an exceptionally busy schedule in 2026, a milestone year during which Croatian Radio celebrates its 100th anniversary and Croatian Television marks 70 years of broadcasting.
Despite the change of venue, HRT expressed its gratitude to the City of Opatija for its long-standing hospitality and successful collaboration, confirming that their partnership will continue. Both sides look forward to future joint projects aimed at strengthening cultural and musical development.
Song submissions for Dora 2026 will remain open until 23 November 2025, while the live shows will be broadcast in February 2026 through HTV, the HRTi platform, and HRT’s official website.
After the submission window closes, a panel of experts will select 24 entries to compete in Dora 2026, along with four reserve songs in case of withdrawals. As in previous years, the winner will be decided through a combination of public voting and jury votes. HRT reserves the right to determine the exact voting method, running order, and the number of shows. Full details are expected to be announced by 23 January 2026.
The return of Dora to Zagreb is part of a broader effort to streamline and enhance the contest for 2026. Although Dora has traditionally taken place in the coastal town of Opatija, it has been held in Zagreb seven times before, most recently in 2024.
Meanwhile, Marko Bošnjak, who represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel with the song “Poison Cake”, finished 12th in the First Semi-Final, earning 28 points.
