The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora has reacted to the removal of license plates from Kosovars’ cars in Slovenia, following last night’s football match in which Kosovo won.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that immediately after the end of the football match, it received reports from Kosovar citizens about the removal of their car license plates.

“Immediately after the end of the match, we received several phone calls from citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, who reported the lack of license plates for their vehicles,” the MFA announced.

According to information collected so far, it is suspected that some vehicles had their license plates removed while they were parked.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on affected citizens not to act without notifying the local police.

“We have recommended that they not move their vehicles without first notifying the Slovenian Police and receiving an official report.”

The Ministry has emphasized that it is following the case and cooperating with relevant institutions.

“The Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Slovenia is dealing with the case and is coordinating actions with the relevant authorities. We remain in constant communication with our citizens and the Slovenian Police for any new developments,” the MFA announced. /Telegrafi/
