The Coalition is spinning a line that climate action is economically bad. How are they getting away with it? In this post-truth environment, the interests of coal and gas are somehow able to win the hearts and minds of voters.

  1. It’s quite the opposite! Global warming is a calamity for the economy and for human societies as a whole. I don’t think it’s necessary to demonstrate here, but the arguments to put forward are endless. Debunking the idea that preserving the climate is bad for the economy is child’s play, the problem is, what do people want to believe, why do the media underestimate the problem, or even relay the words of the oil lobbies?

  2. The natural ecological environment is the economy. How that is not self evident to every human is a great mystery.

  3. Ask them about the social cost of carbon. No fossil energy project provides a return when it’s factored in the equation. Fossil energy is a lie.
