Everything tastes worse in Portsmouth tbf..
Not only does it taste shite, but it’s also crap for washing hair. My hair always feels like straw after being down in England and having to wash my hair there.
I mean its not wrong, but having grown up in Scotland i have been multiple places where the tapwater runs yellow. I know its because of peat in the soil but it still looks like piss
Your not wrong, im from the lake district and the water tastes of boreholes
To be fair the water North of Brum is great on the whole. South Coast, forget it! It’s like disinfected ooze
Tap water north of Manchester is pretty good actually. Go any further south and it goes shite fast.
Brighton and London water is disgusting.
Lived in SE England where the bedrock was chalk and the tap water was minging as a result. You’d have to boil vinegar in your kettle regularly to dissolve the sediment
Most in England don’t get mad at this being pointed out, at least not at the people pointing it out.
Anger at the water companies, Offwat and the government on the other hand.
Was in London once. Went to a restaurant near Paddington and the tap water tasted flat, not good.
Don’t drink tap water man… get a filter.
It’s been through about 5 people already before it comes out the tap…
I once made the mistake of drinking water straight from the tap in Central London while extremely hungover.
Think it may be the first time that water has actually made my hangover worse.
It was also height of summer so the water was warm.
Always baffled me growing up with those adverts
“Does your kettle crud up with a mineral scum that forms around the element ?- then use LimeScale-B-Gone!”
Literally no idea what they were talking about.
Is our tap water much better?? Mine graces me with the delicious scent of washing liquid and bleach
Liverpool tap water is bogging, would rather get stabbed again by a scally going to the 24 shop than drink that pish.

Lived in Bournemouth for few years and yeah the water is rank rotten down south.

If only there was some way to have monetised this when I first posted it.
Mine is pretty good in Liverpool. Not too heavy, not too metallic/flouridic when you drink it, and it doesn’t smell. I’ve had smelly water a few times. Blackpool had smelly water.
It’s not mineral water, but as water goes it’s pretty good.
