  1. Or zero.

Somewhere between hundreds and zero. But closer to zero.

  2. If it’s going to pass then there’s little downside to throwing in with the majority. You get all of the positive PR of not being on the wrong side of that vote but you know the files won’t be released because it’ll be stopped in the Senate or even just by Trump himself.

The real question is if Trump vetoes how many of these same house Republicans would actually vote to overrule a veto. That would actually be taking a side with some consequence.

  3. And if Trump ever leaves power, 100 or more House Republicans will claim they were against Trump all along.

  4. When a republican starts forming articles of impeachment, I *may* start to believe they are beginning to push back

  5. Because they expect the Senate to ignore it or Trump to veto?

Would they override a Trump veto on this? Are they understanding now how supporting a pedophile hurts them?

  6. That’s true if they actually had courage and integrity. But alas, they’re all cowards crippled with fear of a tv show con man convicted felon.

  7. They have already been against this passing for months, don’t let their change of vote trick anyone into thinking it’s a change of heart. They don’t care about raped children, they are worried about reelection.

  8. How do we know all the files are released, assuming the vote passes?

  9. The cynic in me has too many questions.

Is this performative given Trump just launched an investigation on Dems with Bondi (evidence has to stay locked)?

Is it safe to vote, now sufficient time has passed to find and destroy evidence implicating Trump?

Where do the Senate Reps stand on this?

Or am I being overly cynical, and we are genuinely seeing the end of Trump?

  10. 300 votes in the House would put enormous pressure on Senate Republicans. They would be solely responsible for the coverup.

  11. Having to go on the record publicly changes things. They know the voters do about it.

  12. 219 House Republicans *could* vote to release the Epstein files. Any takers on how many actually will?

  13. I’m calling it right now this shit ends by someone leaking the files

  14. If I ton of republicans vote for it I would be suspicious. Someone told them there aren’t any GOP in the files anymore.

  15. It is going to take a 67 vote majority in the Senate to override a Trump veto of the “Epstein File Transparency Act”.

This has always been a long shot.

What it will do however is get votes on the record for 2026 and further show just how far DJT is willing to go to cover this all up.

  16. Now that they know the files will not ever be released due to the new investigation Trump ordered, you can count on a huge number of Republicans voting for release. Then they can tell their voters they voted to protect the victims and it’s not their fault the docs were not released.

  17. Every single politician should be against child rape. What a crazy America Trump has created.

  18. Ultimately, these **Epstein Files** votes will boil down to a clear, simple choice for the people ostensibly in charge of governing our country… it is this:

Make no mistake that it is our leaders must now publicly choose between these two clear, simple, and completely understandable options…

    (1) Vote to release: to hold to account ***anyone***, regardless of party, race, social standing, or economic class, responsible for abusing, raping and trafficking children… in order to stop or prevent any further such crimes.

    OR

    (2) Vote to withhold: to signal to you, and to the abusers, rapists, and traffickers that they can continue those activities… that they need not worry – the concealers have their backs, and approve of their behavior.

Write, call, or ask your representatives and senators for one word statements of their personal choices… don’t allow waffling, it’s a simple question… then tell your friends, family, and neighbors how they respond. **Anything at all** other than an enthusiastic choice of the first option above is a equally unambiguous choice of that disgusting, second option.

  19. Any article about Trump that includes “could, would, may, might..”. I call sus.

  20. Interesting litmus test – do you want to expose rich pedophiles or are you one?

  21. IF that happens, there is real hope that he’s lost his grip on the party. But if ends up being maybe a couple dozen in swing districts, Trump will pull funding to their campaigns and/or back primary challengers just to maintain control of the party. He’s done this in every election since he first took office.

  22. It is the only way they will be able to get votes in the future. Either stand up against rapists and pedophilia or go down with them. In the future every opponent will use there vote to not release the files against them.

  23. The jackass has taken a bribe everyday while in office. He has over $2B in bribes now. Not counting what his wife and children also were given. Most corrupt president ever.

  24. It’s the economy stupid. Trumps support will continue to boil off as long as he is upside down on economic issues. It may get bad enough that he won’t be able to bully enough Republicans to fall on their swords over the pedo stuff.

  25. Senator Chris Murphy: “Trump was “at the center of a child sex ring,” the files contain “something especially and specifically incriminating,” the president was involved in “gross, craven immorality,” it is “the biggest scandal in presidential history.”

  26. So… why wouldn’t everyone want evidence tied to sickos released? Very strange indeed. 🤔 Can’t imagine why anyone who isn’t involved would fight so hard against it. Boggles the mind.

  27. Yes, anyone “could”. That’s how voting works.

“Will” is a completely different story.

  28. Yet only a handful dared to sign the petition to get a vote. Weasels.

  29. If only they had the balls to impeach him under Article 2, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution.

  30. Trump needs to be under house arrest, I fear he will flee the country

  31. Of course they will…it’s all part of P2025. JD is gonna be our new liar in chief…

  32. Once it’s going to pass anyway you might as well make it look like you’re on the side of justice. Let’s see what happens when we have a vote to override a veto.

  33. IF they do, it would be for political convenience, not for any principled stand against pedophilia/sexual abuse.

  34. Quick Donald, drop some of your peace bombs on Caracas!

  35. It should be unanimous. Protecting pedophiles should not be a partisan issue.

  36. This reminds me of the Mueller Report. It will produce nothing.
