Someone blew up railway tracks in Poland?! A train stopped in Garwolin County. “Damage to a section of the track”

A dangerous incident occurred near the village of Życzyn in Garwolin County! The train driver noticed irregularities in the railway infrastructure — it turned out there was a gap in the track about one meter long! It was most likely deliberately damaged by detonating an explosive charge.

This morning at 7:39 a.m., the train driver reported irregularities in the railway infrastructure near the village of Życzyn, Garwolin County, close to the Mika station. At the time of the incident, there were two passengers and several crew members on the train. No one was injured,
— the Mazovian police reported.

Relevant services, including police officers, were immediately dispatched to the site. Initial inspections showed damage to a section of the track, which caused the train to stop. Rail traffic is operating on the adjacent track,
— they added.

Attempted sabotage?
According to Telewizja Republika, this was most likely not an accident but an attempted sabotage.

“Yesterday around 9 p.m., the police received information about an explosion in that area,”
— reported journalist Adrian Stankowski on Telewizja Republika.

“Since 7:30 a.m., track number 1 on the Dęblin–Życzyn section has been closed after a gap of about 100 cm was discovered by train 12713 KM Warsaw West–Dęblin. It was probably deliberate damage to the rail caused by detonating an explosive charge,”
— stated the account Dyspozytura Trakcji on X.

  1. Ah, there’s a country that’s been actively attacking other European countries, sabotaging them, trying to provoke hostility amongst them, trying to break down the European Union, and acting as a general nuisance for several years. Hint. Its name starts with R.
