SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Beta Technologies hosted a career fair that drew 600 registrants looking for employment opportunities with the aerospace manufacturing company.
The event allowed job seekers to connect with Beta staff and see the company’s South Burlington facilities. The company is hiring for multiple positions including engineers, marketing roles and production jobs, along with summer internship opportunities.
Some positions are available to candidates immediately after high school graduation.
“Great way to connect with seniors that are looking for opportunities to start a career but can still take classes at CCV but they’re inspired by what we’re doing and they want to hit the ground running after graduation,” said Sarah DeShaw, workforce development at Beta.
UVM sophomore Adriel Mendez attended the event and said the company’s mission resonated with him.
“They’re literally like the driving force in sustainable aviation right now and they’re doing a lot for our community here in Burlington and I’m from Burlington so it’s really impactful to see something like that in your backyard,” Mendez said.
Beta officials said they plan to host additional career fairs in the future due to the success of this event.
