In Kherson, on the evening of November 16, Russian troops used an unmanned aerial vehicle to attack an ambulance. As a result of the strike, the driver and a paramedic were injured.
According to official data from the city’s military administration, a 64-year-old driver sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to both legs, while a 32-year-old paramedic suffered a concussion, blast injuries, and a closed-head injury. Both received medical care and are undergoing outpatient treatment.
Nature of the attack and its consequences
Later, the prosecutor’s office said that explosives were dropped on the ambulance that had arrived to respond to a call in the Dnipro district of the city. As a result of the strike, two medical vehicles were damaged.
Law enforcement opened a criminal case on the facts of a war crime under part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to preliminary information from the regional military administration, Russian forces previously allegedly dropped explosives from a drone over the Dnipro district of Kherson. A 52-year-old local resident was injured.
The investigation is ongoing: law enforcement and experts are working to determine the circumstances of the incident and establish the causes of the strike.
