The IMF mission in Ukraine confirmed that the mission led by Gavin Grey began today discussions with the authorities on initiating an Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program.
The discussions will focus on the government’s policy goals, with emphasis on tax-budgetary and monetary policy measures aimed at ensuring stability amid ongoing, exceptionally high uncertainty, and on structural measures aimed at strengthening governance, fighting corruption, and supporting economic growth,” said Tofano.

In September, the Ukrainian government officially asked the IMF to consider launching a new financing program, opening a dialogue on future financial support and reforms.
