1. Looks like I’ve arrived before all the idiot fur-baby mummies and daddies turn up to tell us how safe and loveable these fucking things are.

2. A dog bred to tear apart flesh kills a baby, again.

3. Every one of these things needs destroyed .

   They’re fucking tanks on legs . These idiots cannot comprehend that some breeds of dogs are simply dispositioned to aggression more than other breeds. They are still simply animals at a base level at the end of the day . You can raise them to be angels but they will still act in their nature when provoked , whether that by people or environmental stimuli.

4. I saw on the news the lady that put down a dog plush toy next to the flowers, seemed a bit tone deaf.

5. When are these idiots going to learn? Nobody thinks it’s going to happen to them until it happens to them.

6. Absolutely heartbreaking.

   I’ve been saying since the ban that it’s insane that these dogs are so dangerous to the public that the need to be on a lead and muzzled, but can be completely uncontrolled around children. If the dog is in the same premises as a person under 18, the leash and muzzle (or crate and muzzle) should still apply.

7. inquest was adjourned until August 4 2026.

   So the owners won’t be sentenced for some time then , they’re now on bail 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

   Followed by “I don’t understand, he’s never done anything like that before. The baby mist have done something to provoke him”.

   I really hate the people who own these dogs because they think they know better than anyone else.

9. Poor little love. This is horrible, everyday I’m so thankful my mother decided not to get one of these animals, she was obsessed with them for a good few months after her dog died. We had decided if she got one we would stop the children going to her house. Still makes me shudder.

10. Do not leave pets unattended with kids or within reach of kids no matter how cuddly your pet is.

    Children/babies cry and squeal which has and does set some dogs off.

    Also this breed are notorious for attacking people and children. 

    Just an all round shitty situation. The poor baby what a horrific way to go, heartbreaking.

11. Absolutely incompetent parents.

    My rule for dogs as a parent: if I can’t personally incapacitate the dog within 5 seconds, it’s not being around my child.

    Obviously goes without saying that a dog should never be left alone with a child but in my opinion that is NOT ENOUGH.

12. Just about all of those dogs are ticking time bombs. Aggression was quite literally bred into them. Their owners whine that we’re being classist or mean trying to take them away- absolute rubbish

14. They’ve been selectively bred for violence…All the physical attributes to fight to the death and a fair few if not all of them have the mental temperament that means they don’t back down once it gets nasty either.

    Don’t get me wrong I’ve met a fair few pit bull types that have been really pleasant and fun but if they turn they become very dangerous.

    A friend is a Police Officer and he saw one try and bite a Firearms officer who drew his pistol and shot down into it multiple times. Said dog took the bullets it and ran around, it eventually got put down when it slowed due to blood loss and they got more guns and shot it dead. He’s not one to lie and that’s a pretty terrifying story as a result person without any weapons has little chance of stopping one once it’s blood is up.

16. Guys, pits are illegal in the UK, right? Why aren’t all bullies and stafs illegal too? They’re the same garbage!

17. We might as well let cat people have tigers and leopards as pets, since these things are allowed. Basically the same thing – I.e. when the animal feels like savaging someone, no one will be able to stop it.

18. There should be no list of restricted breeds, there should only be a list of breeds to sterilize and make extinct.

19. Is there a downside to banning one type of dog breed? Really is there?
