Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not – Arctic Monkeys.
EDIT: Chelsea Dagger by The Fratellis came on the radio in the car a while ago. There were a couple of decent songs on the album that song is from (Costell Music), but overall that song is the standout. It was everywhere at one point.
Prodigy Experience 1st tape that got me into rave music just had turned 13 that same month it came out
Red hot chili peppers by the way album, its like a soundtrack of being 13 to 15…
Oasis – Definitely maybe, the verve – urban hymns or the prodigy – music for the jilted generation
The Strokes – Is This It
Queens of the Stone Age – Songs for the Deaf
Deftones, Around The Fur. Still a great listen.
Arctic Monkeys – Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not
Also KOL – Only By The Night and Paramore – Riot! And Brand New Eyes
Stone Roses – The Stone Roses.
Still have the (now battered) cassette I bought the day it came out. I was 14.
Linkin Park – Meteora
Still listen every now and again for some nostalgia, even if the edginess makes me cringe
Blood Sugar Sex Magik
That King’s of Leon album makes me think of my boyfriend when I was 16. We went out for a whole 3 months, it was true lufff lol
Bleed American by Jimmy Eat World
Appetite for destruction guns n roses
Bleed American by Jimmy Eat World, absolute belter

The Killers- Hot Fuss and Sam’s Town.
Kings of Leon- Because of The Times and Only by The Night.
Bloc Party- Silent Alarm and Weekend in The City.
Greenday- American Idiot.
Marshall Mathers LP – Eminem
Still great but those skits are unlistenable.
Grace by Jeff Buckley
Interpol – Antics
My mid 90s teenage CD collection is shameful. I was totally into the whole Britpop thing.
Albums by Dodgy, Mansun, and those Shine Indie collections if anyone can recall them.
The Bends and OK Computer were prob my favourite albums when they came out.
Early teens:
Abbey Road- The Beatles
Holy Diver- Dio
Mid teens:
It Takes A Nation of Millions- Public Enemy
Ready to Die- Notorious BIG
Late teens:
Franz Ferdinand- Franz Ferdinand
The Stranger- Billy Joel
News of the World- Queen
In my twenties I shifted into country music. But my teens were mostly rock and hip hop.
The Presidents of the United States of America – self titled
Moby – Play
Weezer – self titled
Green Day – Dookie
R.E.M. – Automatic for the People
I grew up in the states. Not sure The Presidents made it over here.
