I dislike going on buses because of how dirty they are.

But one bus I really like mainly because I've noticed it seems a lot cleaner compared to every other bus is "the new routemaster" which I believe it's called.

I think it's because it's easier to clean for the cleaners? I just enjoy sitting there because I can easily see if anything is going me out on the seat, floor etc

Am I the only one that thinks this?

  1. Typo.

“I can easily see if anything is going to gross* me out on the seat, floor etc”

  2. When I used public transport this bus type was my favorite too, the ones Boris I introduced while Mayor. I gave up public transport as I got older for many reason but one of them was how disgusting it is. I walk or drive and I keep my car pristine and it really helps makes me so much happier. I wish public places could be treated with more respect.

  3. Personally I think they are awful and the worst of all of them, but that’s largely due to the fact that I’m too tall to fit in the seats and the ventilation/air-conditioning is utterly hopeless for anyone who sweats as much as i do.

  4. The new routemaster is the worst bus in London. It’s fucking awful.

  5. No. It’s dark, hot, got small windows and uncomfortable seats.

It’s meant to be a homage to the routemaster but sacrificed elements of the passenger experience in doing so. The newer electric buses are much much better.

  6. during the summer these buses turn into ovens… why do they have no ac???

  7. If only they’d bring back the old Routemaster.

  8. Awful bus in all sorts of ways, but no one has mentioned the complete lack of legroom. Literally impossible to use the upstairs if you’re tall

  9. I like these buses, because I think the back exit is really cool.

  10. Maybe not the best but, to me, definitely the best looking. Also, I like the flow with the exit at the end.

  11. It’s a bus designed by and for people who don’t use busses.

  12. Other than the heat during the summer i really like them. But tbh lots of buses are too hot during summer. Even ones with air-conditioning.
