  1. What I do not quite understand is why certain sectors of the press and the public seem unable to wait for William and Catherine to speak. It feels almost as if they are trying to forcefully pull them into an issue which, although it concerns them because Andrew is part of the family and his actions affect the institution William will one day inherit, does not make them the protagonists or the main people responsible for resolving this dilemma. I am not sure if I am explaining myself well, but I see this as a matter that concerns the King, William, the family, the institution and the government, although I do not believe William is the driving force behind what is happening. His opinion matters, but in the end the decision is the monarch’s and everything is carried out in his name. Following that logic, I do not understand why people expect William and Kate to act as the guardians of the institution when that is not technically supposed to be their role. If they are in fact more involved than it appears, I am not sure how positive that would be, because I do not think it is their duty. And many of their strongest supporters would agree that the heir is expected to maintain an impeccable image and consistently support the monarch, not immerse himself in battles that are not his to fight before even reaching the throne 🤔 With all this I do not mean that I see anything wrong with the Waleses having a clear and firm opinion on the matter, that is excellent, I simply do not understand why it is expected that they should involve themselves more than they already have.

This was said before, BP was the one doing the threatening here ie Elizabeth protecting her favorite son, but it’s pretty dumb anyway because it’s unlikely that Kate (whose name she said first) or William will ever do an interview with ABC, she claimed that happened in 2016, so nearly a decade has passed since then with no interviews.
