WANA (Nov 18) – Afghan-born actress Fereshteh Hosseini, known for her work in Iranian cinema, has won the Best Actress Award at the 30th Rabat Auteur Film Festival in Morocco.
Hosseini received the award for her performance in the feature film “Dwelling Among the Gods” directed by Vuk Rsumovic, a Serbian/Croatian/Italian co-production.
She has previously earned Best Actress honors for the same film at the Pula Film Festival in Croatia, the Otranto Film Festival in Rome, the Euro Balkan Festival in Italy, and the Hong Kong Lights Festival.
The Rabat International Auteur Film Festival was held from November 8 to 15, 2025, in the Moroccan capital. This year, two Iranian films—“Endgame Plan” by Peyman Shahbod and “Unauthorized” by Hassan Nazer (an Iran–UK co-production)—competed in the festival’s main section, where Elaheh Nobakht served as one of the jury members.
