In August, when businessman Mikhael Mirilashvili filed a defamation suit against anti-government protest leaders, he hoped to dispel the image of himself as an oligarch wreaking chaos in Israel on behalf of Moscow. The response filed with a court last week for one of the defendants, advertising executive Ilan Shiloah, shows that the claims haven’t been silenced – maybe the opposite.
