In the case if this is not just a tube but a compressor station, it is actually the interesting twist. If the far compressor station is attacked the first, it can (just can) be sign that other compressor stations are also in the list for attack by drones or ballistic missiles. Attack of the very far target is unexpected for enemy. Would the close compressor stations attacked first, the enemy can prepare defence for more distant compressor stations.
