Basically anyone aware enough to think of complaining has already left and the bulk of those remaining are old people who probably refer to the company as Telecom Eireann(and also their electricity supplier as the ESB) and don’t really understand that switching is a simple task.

I stopped complaining about that shower of bastards years ago when I moved to another provider.
I use their fibre for broadband and it’s just reliable and fast. If they seem to be improving their horrible customer service that’s a great thing.
Can’t get complaints if you don’t engage with customers!

we are in a rural area and got eir fibre this time last year and honestly havent had a problem with it, I guess weve been lucky with it so far.
A lot of legacy customers in Eir with basic telephone and internet doing a lot to dilute those complaints per 100k customers.
I doubt total complaints compared to other suppliers would be as flattering for Eir.
Most of the “customers” left are probably dead where Eir wouldn’t / couldn’t cancel their accounts
Having worked with eir part of the customer support team, most folks where actually really dead on too deal with but sometimes you’d get customer who you do feel bad for but just can’t do anything for
All i take from that is people are complaining. Why draw attention to that?
I’m surprised a business would want to shine a light on any metrics related to complaints. Unless it’s something like 99% of users are satisfied.
I made two complaints both of which they refused to give me a reference so I could make an official complaint to comreg
I wouldn’t join Eir if it was free. Because no doubt they would try charge me somehow. Wankers.
Eir were the only option where I live, they took *forever* to get me connected. After three months, I requested to make a formal comreg complaint with then and the issue was miraculously fixed within two days but I never received the paperwork they’re obliged to provide for a resolution, which makes me think they never logged it as an actual complaint.
At this point, I can’t be arsed to ring them up ***again*** just to get the call logs and have them log it.
It really says something about the company’s reputation that the best advertising promise they can think of is that they’re trying to make everyone fucking hate them a bit less.
They fiddle with the stats
average call time too high? , just hung up on the customer and call them back..
too many people in the Que? Just answer all the calls saying that you are escalating it and do nothing..
Poor first call resolution? Have someone comb through the tickets and call the customer before they can call back and say your working on it, Do nothing..
Have a tricky case? , fuck it it’s not woth the time, just blame another department and pass the call on
comreg case?, customer without internet for months? blame the router and send a replacement doesn’t matter that this is thier 3rd one.
slow speeds? , Your own fault for not living near an exchange.
you want to speak to a manager, sure NP I’ll arrange a call back? , You won’t get a call back..
Poor wifi connection? how do we know it’s not your neighbors dodgy microwave causing it? not our problem we only guarantee a connection over Lan cable..
Your pissed because our services sucks? well I’m more pissed because I have to talk to you for a euro over minium wage and I just don’t care anymore and I’m. going to put you on hold for 5 mins because I don’t want to talk to you anymore. also have a router because I have no idea what is wrong or the tools to figure out what is wrong and it will end the call if you think it will fix the issue.
The last agent didn’t fix your issue and you have been without internet for a week? He forgot to do one step in the highly complicated process that is required to fix your simple issue but don’t worry I’ll preform the ritual correctly but you will need to wait another 3 days and it has a 50/50 chance of. working.
