  1. What a wreckless way to go. Imagine being on the other end of the line. Damn

  2. That was like a 350 yrd shot judging from the time of shot to the time of impact (~2 seconds). Dude didn’t even hear the shot before he was dropped.

Edit: it looks like it actually took about 0.8 of a second, not 2 seconds.

  3. To be honest, this is what scared me the most when I was in the military. A sniper or IED goes off and I die so instantly that my body didn’t even have time to register what happened.

  4. Looks like he got shot to the chest, not a necessarily a fatal wound. if he survived it, he probably stopped smoking .

  5. Through the chest center mass? I bet he had a good 3-4 seconds of “what the fuck just happened” before the hole in his back stopped leaking

  6. Thermals are deadly, even more so in the winter months where heat signatures become more apparent.

  7. – Smoking

    – On the phone

    – Not wearing armor or helmet

    complacent kills

  8. More trauma for the person he’s on the phone to tbf. Imagine hearing a shot then the person goes silent. Mental really.

  9. I want to guess he didn’t even feel that. That’s the kind of death you want, he’s very lucky considering we have video proof of almost a thousand of his “comrades” dying in the most horrific ways imaginable.

  10. Any estimates on the distance of the shot? Roughly speaking based on the time of the apparent trigger pull and when he goes down?

  11. Who tf is using a phone, and betraying their position, on the front lines? Who is popping out of cover?

The target doesn’t look like the typical scrub soldier that we’ve seen in previous drone footage, either. This target looks more like a professional soldier, to me, and therefore should know better.

  12. Looks like he dodged a bullet…at the last second. 🙂

  13. Who chose the song? It’s a drinking song in Dutch 😅

  14. What’s the estimated distance considering the lag between shot and hit?

  15. I’ve never been in combat, but I have read a lot.

One thing that really sticks out, is that the people who survive think about survival all the time, and act like it.  Like when someone yells “get down!”, the new guy drops to their knees, while the veteran is immediately eating mud with gusto.

  16. Probably thought hes save as long as he doent hear a drone. And honestly, cant blame them

  17. theres a reason why, when i was in the military, we were taught things like staying in concealment, not giving away your position by other means like smoking, and just being nonchalant.

  18. Not to be a downer, but isn’t this just a black and white version of the one a whilst ago that claimed to be a Ukranian on the phone? I’d prefer it to be this way around for the record, but do we have proof either way?
