Senate suddenly passes the Epstein bill just hours after it cleared the House

  1. This is the ultimate case of, “we are not in the mood to be answering questions about it. Its off our desk so leave us alone”.

  2. Ideally the House and Senate are preparing to turn against MAGA quickly. But I doubt that.

  3. Nothing passes this quickly, this is bizarre. What are those sneaky sneaks up to.

  4. Read the fine print: all “unclassified” documents.

The fix is in, people. The redactions are “classified”

  5. In a world where I’m okay living in, it means Congress wants to rid themselves of Trump and MAGA once and for all. The reality is that DOJ will only release a tiny bit since it’s an “ongoing investigation”, then blue ball the public for months, at least until after the midterms.

  6. The smoke, the mirrors, now it’s time for the magic trick. I’m guessing it’s a disappearing act of some kind for those files.

  7. this was unexpected. Didn’t Mike spend all day today saying that the Senate was going to take their sweet time getting this right?

  8. That’s the fastest I’ve ever seen anything move through congress. That file must be scrubbed squeaky clean.

  9. the released files gonna be like

“Arrival schedule for ███████ party: █████████, ████████, ██████, and the two minors from ████████’s contact in ████████.”

  10. Holy shit real unanimous consent. Trump will veto (probably) and then it will be overridden? I’m not sure what this game is, the only reason I can see the GOP caving like this is if Trump is actually exonerated by the files.

  11. Congress passes the bill, Trump signs it, DOJ releases heavily redacted, possibly partial files, implicating only Democrats and maybe a few sacrificial Republicans. When anyone points out any of that, Trump and GOP will say “we released all the files and Democrats are still complaining because they didn’t implicate Trump. We’re done here.” I hope the public and media continue to call them out over it, rather than just say “well, we tried” and forget it. I’m not optimistic though.

  12. Hoping this means congress is just fucking done with Trump but I somehow doubt it

  13. >After Republicans spent months trying to prevent a vote, they suddenly supported the legislation as soon as Democrats reached the magic threshold for the discharge petition. And seeing the legislative writing on the wall that Republicans were about to break with the president, Trump decided to get out ahead of the vote and actually support the bill — a move that further reinforced the numbers and made it functionally impossible for the Senate to ignore the bill.

    This is all very suspicious.

  14. Too bad the Congress can’t work this fast normally.

    Something fishy is going on.

  15. When the end came for Nixon, it came all at once.

I don’t have faith that that’s what is happening here, but I can have hope.

  16. So either trumps going to be impeached or they are confident they redacted/edited his name off everything that they deemed ok to release

  17. Trump is the president, he’s Pam Bondi’s boss. He could simply ORDER the files released any time. All this is THEATER.

  18. REDACTED, CLINTON, REDACTED, CLINTON, REDACTED, REDACTED.

That’s the only reason this is passing so fast.

  19. The files have been adulterated past the point of being any use to anyone. Per news reports, British intelligence still has an unadulterated copy, in case anyone cares about the actual truth.

  20. [REDACTED] met with [REDACTED] during [REDACTED] and they [REDCATED] the [REDACTED].

Probably like 20 TB of this.

  21. I don’t trust this at all. GOP is up to something extremely shitty in order to keep protecting child rapists.

  22. This whole thing is a bait and switch. If they do release anything, it will be completely fake. We’re being gaslit, again.

  23. We are about to get spoonfed a truly historic amount of bullshit.

  24. How many GOP names have been purged from the files.

  25. I pray to 8lbs 6oz Christmas Baby Jesus that MAGA’s incompetence comes through and they left one juicy nugget in the files that proves Trumps guilt without a shadow of a doubt.

  26. After how badly they wanted to deny and delay the release, all of a sudden it’s a green light from the vast majority of Republican lawmakers and Trump himself? Not suspicious at all!

  27. Hairbrained theory: he’s dying.

He’s going to step down and JD will take over and release the files and it’ll be a whole thing.

In actuality, it’s gonna be the investigation thing and nothing will come out.

  28. Unclassified documents. An investigation has been ordered. Documents are now classified. They are playing game.

  29. I just hope someone, somewhere, has been sitting on the smoking gun, waiting for these mother fuckers to get to this point and lie one last time.

  30. I bet they’ve doctored and deleted anything they don’t like.

And the media won’t report shit about that.

  31. You know these scooby-doo level villains are gonna fuck up the redactions, right?
