1. Let’s hope they’re that incompetent. The girls need justice, and it’s obvious the Department of Justice will not help them.

2. yall im so tired of this “they are scrubbing everything” line of reasoning. the DOJ has chain of custody and version control on documents that no one person, no small group of people, could change without raising MASSIVE alarms to a bunch of other people who would notice. it was there before Patel and Bondi, and it will be there after them. In addition to the very obvious technological hurdles doing a full scrub of hundreds of thousands of files without detection, various parties have had access to these documents. From court proceedings to sharing information with other intelligence agencies and other countries, these documents exist in a manner that could easy be seen to be fraudulent should they try to alter them.

   Before you link me some article about having 1,000 agents scrubbing his name. My point is even if they did that the paper trail would be insane.

   Bondi would sooner try some bullshit with only releasing material related to Democrats, maybe toss a few Republicans to the wolves, and claiming that the rest of it is a national security concern or under active investigation. i am not a spring chicken, and i have never seen the american public so united on a specific issue. the blowback from obviously scattered or altered documents would be so immense that it would most certainly lead to not only impeachment but removal from office. bills dont pass with 99%/100% unanimous approval. thats never a thing. at least in regards to a controversial topic that’s not a thing that happens. this is unprecedented.

   the most obvious occams razos answer is that Trump’s health is far worse than we know it to be. Whether from dementia or cancer or something else. He’s getting MRIs and slipping visibly and publicly very quickly. Republicans saw themselves get absolutely trounced in *every single election* just a few weeks ago. Not a single win for them. even the deepest red states are showing counties with -35 or -40 approval rating for Trump. the writing is on the wall. this is the end of the Trump train, last stop.

   I think Trump knows this too, and is so fucking petty and egotistical he thinks he can lets these files be released, run the right wing hate machine Fox News 24/7 covering Democrats misdeeds in them, and weather the storm until it all blows over like it usually does. and by that same note even if that wasn’t possible the only other reasonable option is he knows he doesn’t have long and out of spite is willing to take as many of his enemies (like the Clintons) down with him.

   anyway. i highly doubt they are making literal alterations to fabricate documents. the final cherry on top is the amount of data is so vast it may be impossible to fully remove Trump due to the context of the rest of the information. thousands of reporters will be pouring over things and follow up leads and making timelines. it’s not a realistic plan.
