Why the fuck did they do that?
Such stupid Luddites.
For those who didn’t read the article:
The County Commissioners voted to pass a law to ban renewable projects.
The citizens are pissed about this and starting a referendum to undo it.
Sadly, this happens a lot at the local government level. There’s a lot of local elected officials who are used to getting their way and who are either on the take from big outside interests, or they’re getting bad information from Facebook, Fox News, and Taylor Sheridan’s shit TV shows.
I think it is important for states to pass laws that define the kinds of objections that can be used against solar or wind farms. It is not ok for someone’s voodoo political BS reasoning to restrict the rights of others.
