Battles are ongoing heavily in the Pokrovsk area of the front lines. Russia is pushing a 20 to 1 advantage in troops but lack training and capable equipment to make real breakthroughs.
I dont get it, there are multiple videos of the Russians all around Prokrovsk and even north of it, even ISW cofirms it and it shows Myrnohrad in a cauldron why do you chose to belive this random guy in Twitter? just becouse the tells what you want to hear?

I hate Russians because they brought war to so many countries and people already. Why on earth do they think it’s okay to conquer countries, violate borders, laws and agreements, kill people, and destroy the life of millions? Just stop and enjoy your own country. Stay in your shithole! DISAPEAR!

If they are pushing 20 to 1, but not making quick gains, I have to wonder what the casualty rate is.
Just imagine, a 20 to 1 advantage and Russia cannot even make measurable gains. They just send men to death and call that fighting a war. This kind of unsustainable doctrine won’t go on forever, simply because even Russia can’t find infinite men to send to death.
It only took them 11 years to get this far on that front.
Probably 10:1 in the city center
Well, even that time when Ukraine dropped off 11 dudes (7 of which most likely were eliminated via drones) if 4 dudes made it, it is still huge. Especially against hordes of Russian bums that infiltrate.

My, for how long can they hold this town? It is incredible resilience displayed there. Imagine, if you are a recruit in Ukrainian army and are told, that you will go to Pokrovsk and are to hold that place down. And how high must the mountains of corpses of invaders already be stacked. Any day Ukraine can somehow hold this town probably means hundreds of orcs eliminated. I just hope, that the losses for Ukraine don’t rise too high, and I hope they are already building up the next line of defense. The last thing one would want to hear is something like: “They have taken Prokovsk and are now making quick progress.”. But I guess a lot depends on the terrain and roads and all that stuff. It is probably not so easy to establish another line.
Hoping that they never take Prokovsk of course, but like in Chess: Don’t base your decisions on hoping for the best (“Hopium”), preparing and be ready for the worst.
Reminds me of the tactic of spamming disheartened troops in the game Steel Division 2. RU wants to take ground at all costs. Hope Ukraine can hold out
They can’t let themselves get encircled like that. They need every man they’d lose everyone in the pocket.
Russians are playing “attritional war” it is an odd game. Different, so different than desert storm or WW2 or whatever.
Everything is observable, so everything needs to be expendable. Shitty motorbikes, shitty cars, old tired soldiers… which has the upside of being sustainable, and the downside of being a shitty army by design.
Shitty armies won’t ever amaze you!

Ukraine will have to advance to the rear at some point.

its becoming a trap
I’m no military tactician however it appears Ukraine is utilizing the current battlefield to continue bleeding Russia dry of equipment and soldiers. At some point Russia will not be able to reinforce their current levels and have to slow down their incremental advances.
Holding firm in the belief that the UKR boys in Pokrovsk will hold strong.
My only Christmas wish is for the Ukrainians to hold onto their position and get lasting reinforcements and eventually turn the tide against the orcs.
