An Israeli strike on a crowded Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon on Tuesday night killed at least 13 people, as Israel claimed it struck a Hamas training compound, without providing convincing evidence.

The strikes on the Ein Al-Hilweh camp come amid heavy Israeli bombing in southern Lebanon, killing hundreds of people since a ceasefire was announced 27 November 2024.

Hamas denies it has any military installations in Palestinian camps in Lebanon and called Israel’s claims “lies”.

At the same time, an Israeli strike targeting the town of Al-Tayri, southern Lebanon, killed at least one civilian and injured many more, including students in a school bus.

Meanwhile, in Gaza, a woman and her child were injured after an Israeli strike targeted southern Gaza, as the military continues to carry out strikes in Khan Younis and other areas despite the October ceasefire.
