Posted my Chimay Blue a few days back and got many recommendations. Today I got to try the Trappe Quadrupel, still in my Fourchette glass (sorry…). It was great, and oh, the color! Onward goes my new appreciation for darker beers.

You do know this is a Dutch beer? 🙂
It’s my fav Dutch beer. A couple of’em strike me down
Maar enfin, we have the best beer in the world and you show us Dutch beer … ?
Come on … 🍻
It looks more amberish, no?
It makes it look quite tasteful in the fourchette glas. Would drink 100%
Öö by Põhjala. Thank me later.
Let the haters hate.
Belgium has a lot of awesome beers, and La Trappe Quadrupple is on par with many of those.
Enjoy it man!
This can only be enjoyed when one is in the Netherlands.
Never ever in Belgium.
Next time try Rochefort 10. You’ll never watch back again
Val Dieu Grand Cru: the ultimate of ultimate dark beers. First sip you’ll think it’s weird, halfway through your first glass it’ll have become your favorite beer
I mean, It’s from a Catholic abbey close to the border so it’s pretty much Belgian anyway lol. I wouldn’t be surprised if LaTrappe actually sells more of their beers in Belgium than in the Netherlands 😅
Have the Maredsous tripel, so tastefull. Combine it with their Fagotin cheese and heaven is a place in the Ardennes
Quadrupel is actually a marketing stunt, a quad fermentation stage doesnt exist. The dutch invented it to make it sound like a strong beer, stronger than a trippel. Now it is used for many dark strong beers.
