Labour says government refusal to publish PPE firm’s contracts ‘reeks of cover-up’

  1. Of course it does! How is it even legal that our government dont have to have full transparency?! They’re using tax payer money, so the tax payer should have the right to know where that money is spent and how contracts are rewarded.

Of course, none of the major problems faced by this country will ever be resolved. The people creating the problems are also the ones in charge of preventing them.

  2. The letters we get at the end of financial year about the tax spend breakdown..

Will they show a part if the pie chart as undisclosed lool

  3. I bet there are loads of tories that invested in ppe companies and then used their positions to earn money.

  4. Both parties controlled by the World Economic Forum. Waste of time voting, all need putting on trial for treason and crimes against humanity.

  5. Okay if Kier Starmer wants to win people over he’s going to have to inject his legal lingo and threaten every Tory with a jail sentence if he becomes leader. They need to be punished

  6. BBC have a full news blackout on baroness Michelle Mone’s house being raided by the national crime agency.

If this was a Labour peer it would be wall to wall coverage for weeks

Remember that next time your license fee direct debit is due. The BBC are now collaborators in an attempt to “Orbanise” the United Kingdom

  7. Of course it was covered up.

The whole reason the Tories seek power is to steal, swindle and transfer taxpayer cash into the pockets of chums and donors.

  8. The Good Law Project puts the total combined cost of just the unusable PPE at around £9.9 billion.

Some of these orders were to the tune of 100’s of millions and we are expected to believe that no adequate checks were made because of the pandemic! Now they want to just right it off and they won’t show us any of the contracts!

So it’s either epic incompetence or epic corruption. My monies on the latter.

The terrible sleaze is just a side show, a distraction. This is the real scandal.

  9. It’s not so much a cover up as that implies someone made an unfortunate mistake.

This is blatant and systematic corruption.

  10. Seeing as a number of the PPE companies are either owned or managed by members of the Tory party I doubt anything will be done.

Same as the covid fraud issue, I’m guessing the reason they don’t want to prosecute people on this isbthey don’t want to charge themselves.

  11. More and more, I’m considering giving a monthly donation to the Good Law Project. At this rate it’s basically insurance.

  12. They e been accused of corruption so now there are two options: they can release the information to clear it up, or they keep it hidden because it’s actually much worse than the rumours.

  13. I’m not much of a fan of Labour generally, but anyone with a brain can see what happened, tens of billions given in non competition bids to party donors is bad, but some of the contracts are even worse. Half a billion to a pest control company with low five figures in assets and zero contacts or experience the government don’t have, why?

A load more went to a three week old company, and another big contract to a currency trading hedge fund, do these sound like mass scale PPE specialists, or supply chains procurers to you? The government stole tens of billions, openly and blatantly, and Labour’s main response was to go after the shade of magnolia Carrie chose for number 10, while barely mentioning all of this corruption until it was a year plus in the past.

  14. PPE report.

    Russian collusion report.

    Sue Grey report.

    Lebedev peerage report.

All delayed or withheld for some bullshit reason. This government is the most corrupt I’ve ever experienced in 50 years and living in 4 countries.
