Totally right…the Tories are world champions in mud fight. That’s why labour (and KS in particular) should focus on policies and avoid being dragged down at their level…
even, *even* if this ‘beer incident’ broke lockdown (and I don’t personally think it did, a mid-meeting break seems perfectly plausible) it was a one-off incident… and similarly if there had been a single event in Downing street I probably wouldn’t be too impressed, but I’d move on
instead though, it seems like there were multiple occasions, I lose track of just how many parties or gatherings there were (*edit*: 12 apparently) but it does paint the picture of a government showing flagrant disregard for rules it created… with some evidence that concerns were brushed aside prior to these events suggesting they just did not care (we’ll have to wait for the full Sue Gray report to get the ‘full’ picture I guess)
it’s obviously not equivalent and I hope the public sees right through it!
